Happy New Year . . .

Happy new year you gorgeous sewing people. What have I been doing since I last posted . . . working of course.  I just love saying that after a nasty spell of unemployment.

This is my last month of the temporary post but I have to admit these four months have made a wealth of difference to me. Any overtime, I have taken advantage of as a matter of course, treating myself to some sewing related goodies in the bargain, cheering me up no end. In fact I made it my business to dwindle my metre long sewing wishlist, and I have to say it has been so satisfying.

The icing on the cake has been finding an adjustable height trestle table that would serve as a cutting table, as I desperately needed one - my small coffee table was simply not cutting it, excuse the pun.

Bad back + Small Coffee Table = No Sewing Mojo

I have also enrolled on another sewing course, level 3, I have already done level one and two.  That being said, it was was so long ago since I done them, am beginning to wonder, whether I can remember how to thread Lady Boo Boo.

The course cost only about £50 so I had to snap it up. Plus it will be nice mixing with other sewers as my social life has been zilch.

I will learn about fitting, setting in sleeves, how to use an overlocker/serger and a few other bits. It is just a once a week, two hour evening class for 10 weeks, but I am so excited. At the very least it should give my sluggish sewing mojo a big kick up the a**e derriere.

Well that's all for now but am getting there folks and one day, I say one day, you will actually see something I have actually sewn instead of all this blurb.

Wishing you the best for 2013
