The Versatile Blogger

It's high time I addressed my obligations under the Versatile Blogger award. I was nominated on the 15th March 2012 by the talented Neeno at Sew Me Love I have only been blogging for five minutes, so gratefully humbled. Thank you Neeno.

Here are the rules

1. Add the badge to the winning blog page

2. Thank the blogger who gave it.

3. List the rules.

4. List seven (7) random facts about yourself.

5. Pass on the award to fifteen (15) deserving and conscientious bloggers who are nominated for their diligence, demonstrated skill, and achievements in the world of blogging and specifically in the sewing related category.
(am going to modify this requirement see below)

6. Contact the nominated bloggers and let them know they are recipients.

Rules 1,2 & 3 check.

Seven Random Facts

(i) I will be 46 years of age in August. Yikes where did the
    time go.

(ii) Am a yo yo dieter. Let's just say my will power aint all
     that.

(iii) Nervous about moving on to tops and dresses as I will
have to do an FBA, and the Bronte Sisters run large.
That being said I do have the Pletscher DVD and I know
there are many dressmakers with larger Bronte's than
      me but still . . .

(iv) Learning to knit, so you will see those projects floating
      up occasionally.

(v)  My favourite dessert is home made apple pie and
cream. You can't beat the traditional puds.

(vi) I don't drive and tend to walk everywhere, so you will
see me sporting a pair of ugly walking shoes 90% of the time.

(vii) Am unemployed so can't whip up garments every five
minutes, but stick with me as one day I may just
      surprise you.

In no particular order 15 7 deserving and conscientious bloggers.

I am unable to select 15 as am a relatively new blogger and just determining who I follow on a regular basis. There are the obvious bloggers who have quite a few followers, write books, articles etc but I suspect they will have awards galore. I am therefore going to select seven of the bloggers I have recently started following.

If there are any blogger award police out there, my sincere apologies for breaching this rule but I would be falsely selecting sewing bloggers at random just to satisfy the 15 blogger requirement.

Right, now that's out the way I will cite my seven bloggers. (just click on the name to link to their respective blogs)

Not a requirement to give a synopsis of why you have chosen your bloggers,  I just fancy doing it. And as the saying goes, a little of what you fancy . . .

Caffy A down to earth lass currently working on Gerties bombshell dress. Check her blog out.

Melizza - Always whipping up some bright and cheerful ensembles. Also check out her to die for pincushions.

Liz - She is so talented and I adore her fabric choices and creations. Did anyone see the fabric she used for her nautical dress or the powder blue Mad Men dress? Off the charts.

Ambitious Sewer Enjoy her blog and creations. Her fabric choices are funky and fabulous.

Sewtellme - She has four children, works and still whipping up ten times more than me. Although, that wouldn't be hard since I hardly do anything.

Candice - This lady still refers to herself as a beginner, but if you check out some of her creations you will be forgiven for thinking she is at the very least intermediate. She makes some wonderful flattering clothes.

Diary of a Sewing Fanatic - The blog title sums Carolyn up. Nuff said. She is so enthusiastic about sewing, and acquiring, and sharing new skills.

Rules 1, 2 & 3 check.

  4. Thanks so much Ms. Sassy T! You're too kind. :)

I love that you want to learn how to knit! It's so much fun and perfect to carry around in your purse if you're waiting in any lines... unlike a sewing machine. heh
