On The Cutting Table - Burda 05.12 110 B

This top ...

Nice to finally to be able to say "on the cutting table" as opposed to thinking I should say "on the effin pain in the a*se coffee table" Plus I feel all grown up and experienced saying "cutting table".

Doubt my "interpretation" will look anything like the above image, being my first top, but we all love a tryer. Can't believe am attempting Burda's notoriously scary magazine instructions to construct my first top. That being said it looks like I should be okay if am armed with some additional resources. Am facing doing an FBA and sewing a top on the bias with trepidation but it is high time that I put this at the back of my mind and get started.

On the plus side I will be attending a sewing session tomorrow which will be hosted by my former tutor so I will be looking forward to that. Am sure she will help if I get stuck. I am just so damn excited that am going to be with like minded people, so who knows peeps I may be knocking up garments left right and centre as I have signed up to about five three hour sessions.

I will be doing muslins/toiles for all as am never happy with the fit of my skirts let alone tops.

Before I disappear, I have been posting the odd, cute beautiful or sassy creation I have come across on my Sassy Sewing Bees facebook page. Head over there if you are like me and love looking at other peoples creations but haven't got time to read all the blurb. Instant eye candy. Oh and "like" the page while you are there.

Cheeky aren't I?

Until Next Time

  2. I can't wait to see it made up on you! I don't think it matters if it doesn't look exactly like the one above, it's your own interpretation :)

    1. Thanks Jen. It will be a giggle if nothing else, lucky enough I have a sense of humour.
