Goodbye Google Reader

Apparently Google reader is calling it a day on July 1st.  I have always been a Bloglovin gal so it doesn't effect me. If this affects you and you still  fancy following me, check out Bloglovin as a means of following. There is also another blog reader called Feedly which has had some good reviews and appears to be recommended as one of the best alternatives to Google Reader that work with buffer - no idea what that is but click on the Feedly link above for more info.

Here is another article on someone else idea of the six best blog readers. It gives you an overview of each one.

Moving on to another topic, you will be surprised to hear I have my fabric and pattern laid out to whup up the skirt I mentioned in Wednesday's post. I need some notions but I can get cracking on the pattern alterations and fabric cutting. Feeling a little excited as I have a few days off work. So no excuses.

The skirt is nothing special just a simple flare skirt but it will be great to actually sew something.

Speak to you soon.

Sassy T

    1. Nice Review. I have only been with Bloglovin and really pleased with it and like the interface. Love the "like" button as am sometimes too tired to read some of the posts that am really interested in, so great to go back to later.

    1. Lol. If you can write a blog and upload images you can do Bloglovin, it is easy peasy. All you do is put your chosen blog address in the search box then click on add. Really good. You can set up categoroes and "like" posts to keep it saved to go to later or just to keep. I love it. A one stop place for all the blogs you follow.

  4. I'm worried about the google reader news too, I don't know how it will affect my blog :( But I'm planning to follow your lead and check out bloglovin too.

    1. It won't affect your blog as your followers will just move onto another resder and if the others are anything like Bloglovin there will be a button to export all the blogs from google reader. That being said Bloglovin didn't realise how many they were actually going to get so I believe there has been a few teething problems.
